Youth Softball Programs
Druid Hills Youth Sports
Druid Hills Youth Sports (DHYS) is an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing the opportunity to develop baseball and softball skills through team sport participation in an environment of instructive yet competitive play for children who live in the area. DHYS develops these skills by providing training programs for its managers and coaches as well as for players. DHYS strives to develop the player's character through effort and sportsmanship, with an emphasis on the enjoyment of the game. Parents of players are considered a vital and integral part of the DHYS experience and are encouraged to participate as managers, coaches, team parents, or in the many other volunteer capacities. The purpose of DHYS is to promote good character, health, and sportsmanship among the youth of the community through sports. |
Murphey Candler Girls Softball Association
Murphey Candler Girls Softball Association (MCGSA) introduced girls fastpitch softball to Atlanta in 1968. We offer recreational leagues for girls from age 5-18, as well as "select" team opportunities. MCGSA is an all volunteer organization and the only recreational girls fastpitch league in the Brookhaven/Dunwoody/Chamblee footprint. Each season, more than 300 young ladies participate across our leagues learning the game of softball and building lifelong friendships in the process. Through our volunteer coaches, professionally run clinics and other learning opportunities, the girls have the opportunity to improve their skills, learn about competition and team work, and gain an appreciation for an active lifestyle. |
