Lakeside Falls to Dunwoody in Season Opener

In the Lakeside Varsity Softball season opener, the Lady Vikings fell to the Dunwoody Wildcats by a score of 18-3. Freshmen Ellie Lenz hits a long ball on a 2-2 count to score the first run for the Vikings.  Senior Mattie Jenkins walks in 7 pitches and Freshman Willow Deery hits a 2-run homer to right field, but the hot bats of the Wildcats ended up giving pitcher, M. Lucius, the win. Freshman LHS pitcher, Molly McHoul took the loss but threw 49 strikes in 84 pitches with 1 strikeout.
